Beware of the Double Dip !!

Those infamous wooden spatulas are disposable for good reason. Once they’re dipped into the wax and the wax is spread onto your skin, they should be tossed, and a new spatula should be used for each subsequent dip.

Why? Wax is only heated to a temperature just above 40°, which isn’t hot enough to kill bacteria or viruses, any hotter would scald you. Once the spatula touches skin, dipping it back into the wax can potentially pass bacteria along with it.

Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to come in contact with anything that’s touched a stranger’s anything.
